Description: Letrozole also known as Femara among other names, is an aromatase inhibitor that is used in the treatment of hormonally-responsive breast cancer after surgery. Letrozole is the strongest estrogen Blocker of all. Known to benefit athletes suffering from Gynecomastia.

Here’s how letrozole functions:
Aromatase Inhibition and Reduced Estrogen Levels : By inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which is responsible for converting Testosterone into Estrogen, letrozole reffectively reducesn estrogen levels. Increased estrogen levels can cause side effects such as Erectile Dysfunction, Infertility, Decreased Libido, Increased Body Fat etc.
Fertility Treatment: In the field of fertility treatments, letrozole is used off-label to induce ovulation in Women and Activation of Leydig cells for Sperm Production in males. By lowering estrogen levels, letrozole can trigger the release of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), which may stimulate the ovaries to release eggs in women, and Sperm Production in males.
Management of Gynecomastia or man boobs : In men, especially those undergoing anabolic steroid use or those with conditions leading to gynecomastia (enlargement or excessive development of male breast tissue), letrozole can help in reducing estrogen levels, potentially reversing or preventing gynecomastia, man boobs or puffy nipples.
